The director of any psychiatric facility is commonly referred to as Doctor. He/She is responsible for overseeing all patients and final assessments. The director gives the final say on any patients who may leave and who must stay. He/She is of utmost importance at Caulton Asylum & Psychiatric Facility. This person must be at least 45 years of age.

The role of Director's Assistant is to sort and make sure all documentation is up to date. He/She is to report to the Director daily with patient records and any discrepancies found in such files. This person is in full charge when the Director is away.

A therapist is a skilled and trained doctor in the field of psych. This person is available to the patients at Caulton 24/7. Some of them reside in the institution, some in Newport. A therapist is not licensed or authorized to prescribe any medication to patients and must report all findings an suggestions to authorized personnel.
There are different stages of therapy at Caulton, Tiers 1 through 6. Tiers 1 & 2 are what we call low risk patients. These patients range from small phobias to low grade panic attacks. Tiers 3 & 4 are what we call mid risk patients. These patients require a little more supervision and therapy visits than Tiers 1 & 2. The illnesses range from intensive panic attacks to low grade self harm. Then, we have Tiers 5 & 6, these are what we call high risk patients. These patients require 24/7 supervision and daily therapy visits. Their illnesses range from schizophrenia to severe phobias and self harm.

The doctors and nurses at Caulton are the foundation of the institution. Without these men and women, the entire way of life here would crumble. Now, nurses here are the men and women who take care of the distribution of medication, the safety and overall happiness of their patients. Doctors are the ones to prescribe the medication to patients and to make sure that their health comes first. They perform regular check ups as well. Now, nurses and doctors are divided into two groups, Tier 1 and Tier 2. Tier one doctors and nurses take care of patients within Tiers 1 - 3. Doctors and nurses who are in Tier 2 take care of patients within Tiers 4 - 6.

The mortician's role at Caulton is to take the bodies of recently deceased peoples and bring them down to the morgue for investigation, clean up and tagging. The mortician's assistant and apprentice are the ones to aid the head mortician in identifying and embalming all bodies. Until recently, the mortician was to call the families of the recently deceased for identification. Now, it is the director's job to do so and the mortician's job to guide these people to their loved ones.

The receptionist or secretary's job is to take care of all incoming calls, all administration papers, admittance as well as outgoing calls. They are to relay all important messages to select staff members.

The nuns and priest at Caulton are here to share devout information about their God to the patients who request it. The priest is required from time to time to perform exorcisms and other ungodly actions. They are here to give the patients a new outlook on life, to give them something to believe in again. Prayer is not enforced but encouraged twice a week. On Wednesdays and Sundays, patients and staff members may gather in the chapel for gospel.

All support staff includes all personnel not listed above. I.e. Cleaning personnel, grooming personnel, cafeteria personnel, landscape personnel etc. These persons are in charge of doing their duties and nothing else. They are to not interact with patients. If they do, consequences will be given.

Security is an important part at Caulton. They work in teams of two aiding the nurses when patients get unruly. They are to scout the perimeter, making sure all staff, patients and other members at Caulton are safe and sound.
